Zdeno Chara has started rehabbing his left shoulder, according to the Boston Herald. He underwent left shoulder surgery six weeks ago to repair a torn labrum. He’s doing daily range-of-motion exercises, and it’s estimated that he faces three more months of rehab, which would take him into September and the start of training camp. He couldn’t state whether he’d be ready from the get-go, but it shouldn’t be too long after that if he isn’t. He said, "We’ll have to see how the rehab goes, but it should be right for the start of training camp. Obviously I want to be careful with everything."

Our View: Chara is among the top defensemen in the NHL, as well as the fantasy world. He notched 17 goals and 34 assists over 77 games in 2007-08, with a plus-minus of 14.

Nothing's signed yet or anything, but we're definitely talking at least, so that's good."

Our View: Rolston has served three campaigns in Minnesota, and ranks second on their all-time list with 96 goals, with 31 of those coming in 2007-08. He is looking for a multi-year deal, and the team is believed to be willing to agree to his terms.
