Potulny signs one-year dealSaturday 6/14, 3:41 PM CT
The Oilers have signed center Ryan Potulny to a one-year deal, the Ticker reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. Potulny, 23, was acquired from the Flyers in a June 6 trade.

Our View: Potulny didn't find much time with the Flyers, but the former Minnesota star has some upside and will hopefully earn a line spot with the Oilers in 2008-09.
Kostsitsyn in contract talksSaturday 6/14, 12:23 PM CT
The Canadiens and Andrei Kostsitsyn have been discussing a new contract, the Montreal Gazette reports. The 23-year-old forward had a breakout season with 53 points over 78 games, and he is due to become a restricted free agent.

Our View: Kostsitsyn was a quality fantasy forward from December through the end of the season (45 points, 57 games), and we imagine the Habs are doing their best to keep him around.
Team files for arbitration with FleurySaturday 6/14, 11:15 AM CT
The Penguins have filed for salary arbitration with goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette confirms. Fleury is due to become a restricted free agent this summer, but this move buys the club more time to work out a long-term deal.

Our View: The Penguins can't let this young goalie get away from them, and it looks like they don't intend to.
Bouchard could get long-term dealSaturday 6/14, 11:12 AM CT
The Wild plan to offer Pierre-Marc Bouchard a multi-year contract after he becomes a restricted free agent on July 1, TSN.ca reports.

Our View: The 2002 first-round pick looks like a play-maker on the rise, although we'd like to see him put the puck in the net more often.
Hossa working on long-term dealSaturday 6/14, 11:04 AM CT
The Penguins are working to sign Marian Hossa to a long-term contract, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. In fact, it is the club's top offseason priority.

Our View: We'd like to see Hossa stay in Pittsburgh, as he notched 26 points in 20 postseason games. He'll be valuable no matter where he lands, but the Pens seem like a good spot.
