Carcillo re-signs with PhoenixTuesday 7/22, 6:41 PM CT
The Phoenix Coyotes re-signed enforcer Daniel Carcillo according to the Sports Ticker.

Our View: Carcillo led the NHL with 324 penalty minutes in just 57 games. The 23-year-old also recorded 13 goals, including a hat trick against Dallas on April 4, and 11 assists.
Green signs with the DucksTuesday 7/22, 6:12 PM CT
Josh Green, 30, has signed with the Anaheim Ducks according to the Sports Ticker. He did not play last season.

Our View: Green is a left winger has scored 74 career points.
Hurricanes will honor Wesley Tuesday 7/22, 3:16 PM CT
The Hurricanes are scheduled to honor Glen Wesley, who recently retired following 20 years of service in the NHL, according to the AP. Carolina will retire his uniform No. 2 prior to their February 17 game against the Boston Bruins, who were his original team back in 1987. Carolina GM Jim Rutherford said, "Glen played the most games as a Hurricanes player, and did so at a high level. We are honored to have been a part of his distinguished playing career and look forward to paying tribute to his accomplishments."

Our View: Wesley ranked sixth on the NHL's all-time list of games played by a defenseman, skating in 1,457 total games over 20 seasons with Boston, Hartford, Toronto and Carolina. He led Carolina to the Stanley Cup in 2006.
Jessiman signs with Rangers Tuesday 7/22, 11:18 AM CT
Hugh Jessiman has signed a deal with the Rangers, according to the AP. Specific terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Our View: He spent the past three seasons with the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL. He stands at 6-6 230 pounds, and was selected by the Rangers in the first round of the 2003 draft. The team has previously been disappointed by his progress, and he isn't likely to hold any fantasy value next season.
Bruins agree to deal with Wideman Tuesday 7/22, 11:00 AM CT
The Bruins agreed to a deal with defenseman Dennis Wideman, which will avoid salary arbitration, according to the Providence Journal. The contract is for four years, and is worth $15.75 million.

Our View: Wideman is a solid offensive defenseman, as he chipped in 13 goals and 23 assists with 70 penalty minutes over 81 games with Boston last season.
Sundin has not ruled out Leafs Tuesday 7/22, 9:34 AM CT
Mats Sundin has not ruled out re-signing with the Maple Leafs, according to The Star. Toronto's offer isn't near the $20 million that the Canucks have on the table, but Sundin has not ruled out remaining with Toronto. Sundin said, "I have been in Toronto for 13 seasons and it is like home to me. Nothing is out of the picture. But Vancouver's contract was in a class by itself if you look at only the money."

Our View: Of couse he also hasn't ruled out heading to Montreal or simply retiring either. He will make a decision at the end of July or early August.
