Morrisonn signs dealSaturday 7/26, 4:47 PM CT
Defenseman Shaone Morrisonn signed a one-year deal with the Washington Capitals, according to the AP.

Our View: Morrisonn is a typical stay-at-home defenseman and has little fantasy value.
Bruins buy out MurraySaturday 7/26, 11:36 AM CT
As anticipated, the Bruins have bought out the remaining time on winger Glen Murray's contract, according to TSN.

Our View: Murray went unclaimed one day after being placed on waivers. The 35-year-old winger was slated to make $4.15 million next season, but Boston will save $2.9 million against the salary cap by buying out his contract.
Two teams left to fight for SundinSaturday 7/26, 10:17 AM CT
It would appear the race to sign forward Mats Sundin has come down to two teams, those being his incumbent employer, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Vancouver Canucks, according to the Vancouver Sun.

Our View: Sundin has told reporters he will make a decision by August 1st, but reports indicate only two teams are in contention to sign the veteran goal hawk. Vancouver general manager Mike Gillis has told reporters he believes he has more than a decent chance of landing free-agent center. We'll keep you posted.
Wild ink Bouchard, seeking extensino for GaborikSaturday 7/26, 9:10 AM CT
The Minnesota Wild have reached terms on a new contractual agreement with forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard , according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Our View: After losing offensive weapons Brian Rolston and Pavol Demitra through free agency during the offseason, the Wild made sure that they'd have playmaking whiz Pierre-Marc Bouchard around for the next two seasons. The Wild and Bouchard agreed late Friday night to a five-year, $20.4 million contract that includes, according to assistant general manager Tom Lynn, a commitment by general manager Doug Risebrough not to trade Bouchard for at least two years. The next order of business: Secure the services of Marian Gaborik.
