Bell completes work release program

Mark Bell has completed serving his work release program after pleading no contest to charges of a hit-and-run and driving under the influence in 2006, according to the Toronto Star.

Our View: "I was just like anybody else who made a mistake. I was treated like everybody else," Bell said yesterday. "I was afforded a lot of humility. I think I'm a better person for it." Bell should return to be a regular on the Maple Leafs this season.
