Wild looking at Yelle

The Wild may be close to signing center Stephane Yelle, HockeyBuzz.com reports.

Our View: Yelle wouldn't be a major signing, but he's a solid veteran who would add depth behind Mikko Koivu and Eric Belanger.

Shanahan wants to stay with Rangers

Brendan Shanahan moved his family back to their New York home, and he wants to sign with the Rangers for one more season but other teams, such as the Anaheim Ducks, have expressed interest in him, according to the New York Post. "My priority remains signing with the Rangers and finishing the job I came here to do two years ago," Shanahan said.

Our View: A number of teams would like to have Shanahan on their squad, but he sounds like there is only one spot he truly wants to wind up. Wherever he lands, he can help fantasy squads at least as a depth player.
