Lehman looking hard at change to Champions

It appears that despite not-so-distant assertions that he was no where near ready to make the move, veteran golfer Tom Lehman may be having a change of heart, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Our View: Lehman will turn 50-years of age next spring and is struggling to compete at a level he might have hoped to see this season, touting six missed cuts over 10 PGA starts this season. Venues where Lehman normally battles are no longer producing quality scores as more young golfers fill the schedule with first-time winners. The move to the Champions Tour, where Lehman will compete strongly for wins, only makes sense.

Howell seeking first '08 win at AT&T

Charles Howell III comes into Sunday with a slim one-stroke lead over Kenny Perry and a two-stroke margin over a capable group looking to make a charge today at the AT&T Classic.

Our View: Howell III hasn't seen a victory in some time and couldn't have picked a better time to find his game, playing within hours of his hometown in Augusta, Georgia and seeking to tackle a course, TPC Sugarloaf, that has been a significant hurdle Howell has struggled to defeat. He enters Sunday at -13, but beware, for Howell has owned leads in the past and failed to convert on Sunday.
