Stricker revealed to have elbow injuryWednesday 5/28, 11:10 PM CT
Reports indicate Steve Stricker is suffering from an elbow injury, believed to be the reason for his withdrawal from this week's Memorial Tournament, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: For fans and fantasy owners, this news may be a bit of a relief. Stricker has been missing more cuts than he has made in recent weeks, an unusual struggle for the normally-dominating duffer. With this in mind, it may be fair to suggest he will be unavailable next week, but you will see him at Torrey Pines for the U.S. Open. We hope by then he will be healthy and ready to challenge at his normal level.
Maruyama passes on invite to MemorialWednesday 5/28, 6:21 PM CT
Shigeki Maruyama has officially withdrawn from this week's Memorial Tournament.

Our View: Maruyama was listed as a field alternate and was contacted by the PGA this morning, offering a spot in the field as more committed members withdraw. However, Maruyama informed the Tour he would not be attending. He's battled problems resulting from a lingering shoulder injury and has played since walking off the course at THE PLAYERS.
R.Armour withdraws from MemorialWednesday 5/28, 6:17 PM CT
Ryan Armour has withdrawn from this week's Memorial Tournament.

Our View: Originally listed as an alternate, Armour was in line to take the place of Camilo Villegas following his withdrawal but informed the PGA he would not be accepting the tee time. There is no news of his reason for passing, but if we get that information, we'll pass it along.
Villegas withdraws from MemorialWednesday 5/28, 6:14 PM CT
Camilo Villegas has officially withdrawn from this week's Memorial Tournament.

Our View: Villegas has improved in recent performances and appeared to be on pace for a rise at this week's trip to Muirfield, a course that plays well to Villegas' strengths. The PGA has not listed a reason for withdrawal, and he will be replaced in the field by Y.E. Yang.
Westwood battling sicknessWednesday 5/28, 6:11 PM CT
Lee Westwood has withdrawn from next week's St. Jude Championship, citing illness as his reason for pulling out, according to The Commercial Appeal.

Our View: Westwood also withdrew from last week's BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth due to a viral illness. Yes, these are European events and mean nothing the vast majority of fantasy owners making their living off the PGA, but these are events to keep in mind as the U.S. Open looms, just two weeks away. It is not out of the question that Westwood's condition could get worse and force a withdrawal from the major, and if he chooses to play, he is likely to be fatigued and hampered from the sickness.
