Harrington has sore wrist, but will playTuesday 7/15, 4:04 PM CT
Padraig Harrington has a sore wrist but will still attempt to defend his British Open title starting Thursday, according to the Associated Press. "If I do nothing to it between now and Thursday, I'll be able to play," he said.

Our View: Being the defending champ, he'll do everything he can to defend his title, but he could drop out at any point if the pain becomes too unbearable.
Lowery withdraws from US Bank ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:23 AM CT
Steve Lowery has officially withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Our View: Lowery failed to honor his commitment at last week's John Deere Classic as well, struggling to overcome the recent failures after a strong start to the '08 season. He seems to be seeking solice in rest and hopes to get back on track when we return from the major. He has been replaced in the field by Robert Damron.
Williamson takes break, withdraws from US BankTuesday 7/15, 10:22 AM CT
Jay Williamson has officially withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Our View: Williamson was part of the three-man playoff at last week's John Deere Classic but put his approach in the drink and ended on a disappointing note. As such, we are betting he needs a mental break and is not suffering from illness or injury. He has been replaced in the field by Paul Stankowski.
Mayfair joins list of golfers skipping US Bank ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:20 AM CT
Billy Mayfair has officially withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Our View: Mayfair has played well more often than not this season and may be a bit frustrated about missing the major this week. He could use a rest, though he would have been a favorite to battle for a win in Milwaukee this week. He has been replaced in the field by Chris Riley.
Leaney pulls out of US Bank ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:19 AM CT
Stephen Leaney has officially withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Our View: Leaney also filed for early withdrawal at last week's John Deere Classic and that leads us to wonder if he just seeks an extended rest or is hampered by minor injury. Regardless, he has not been a factor in most tourney for fantasy owners this season. He has been replaced in the field by Larry Mize.
Jones withdraws from US Bank ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:17 AM CT
Matt Jones has officially withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Our View: Jones has listed no reason for withdrawal and thus we expect he is seeking rest. He has struggled this season and may need to recollect and hope for better results moving forward. He will be replaced in the field by Jim Gallagher, Jr.
Gay withdraws from US Bank ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:16 AM CT
Brian Gay has officially withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Our View: We have no news of injury or concerns with durability, though Gay has been rather picky with his PGA stops this season (struggling more often than not in those he does participate in). He will be replaced in the field by Glen Day.
Crane withdraws from US Bank ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:12 AM CT
Ben Crane has official withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Our View: Crane is due for a rest and needs to give his aching back a break. He has been replaced in the field by Dicky Pride.
Slocum withdraws from US Bank, may enter Open ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:10 AM CT
Heath Slocum has officially withdrawn from this week's US Bank Championship in Milwaukee, hoping to gain entry into the Open Championship in England.

Our View: Slocum has been playing rather well of late and, with Pat Perez and Jerry Kelly added to the field at the Open Championship, now sits as the first alternative for the major championship. He's prepared to make the leap into that competition if the call comes and thus had to be replaced in the US Bank by Mark Brooks.
Toms withdraws from Open ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:05 AM CT
David Toms has officially withdrawn from this week's Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in England, according to OpenGolf.com.

Our View: Various injuries, including back pain, has kept Toms from enjoying a productive season on the PGA this season, though his work at the links courses in Europe in the past may have brougth him into fantasy consideration this week. He has been replaced in the field by Jerry Kelly.
Wrist forces Donald out of Open ChampionshipTuesday 7/15, 10:03 AM CT
Despite his best efforts to regain health, Luke Donald has been forced to withdraw from this week's Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, according to OpenGolf.com.

Our View: The Englishman would have been a field favorite and been a true contender to win it all, but battles to overcome an injured wrist will keep him out of the field. Pat Perez will take his place in the field.
